To continue with the subject of making great gaps, here is a small tip.
There is no reason to have to dial in the panel gaps more than once. So, in order to only do it once, it should be the very last part of the body work done. The car should be straight, everything flush, and already in 80 grit and ready for polyester primer. When it is at this point, then clean up the gaps and get them dialed in.
If this step is done too early, it’s easy to have to do a little more body work, and then you will find yourself having to gap something more than once, which is only a waste of time.
So, be patient, and save the gaps for last!
